There is a truth to which we've been sewn,
Since long before your birth or my own.
After the coldest winter that we've ever known,
Chilling us down to the bone.
If our pain is a mountain,
Our love is a stream,
Carrying the water to the trees.
Cause we're turning the soil,
And we're planting the seeds,
To welcome the coming of Spring.

So, from the rubble I had sprouted,
My intentions rerouted,
Toward a mission that was already there.
To reach in through your eyes and pull out your insides,
Exposing the gifts that you bear.
After much hesitation,
Finally gave in to the waves,
Trusting that the will of love would see me through.
When I finally took the plunge,
And found everything that I ever wanted,
Found out it wanted me too,
And it wants you.
